Welcome to the official blog of VAST – Virginia Academic Summer Trip 2026!
After months of planning, preparation, and looking forward to this journey, VAST26 is finally here. What started with meetings, applications, and travel plans has now become reality: our journey to the United States has begun. With plenty of excitement, curiosity, and maybe a little nervousness, we are ready for the experiences ahead.
Now that our journey has begun, the excitement is even greater. New places, new people, and many new experiences are waiting for us. Of course, there are still plenty of questions: What will the next two weeks bring? What will studying and everyday life in the United States be like? But above all, we are excited to find out together.
In the days ahead, we’ll explore Washington, D.C., Norfolk, and spend time at Old Dominion University. Along the way, we’ll meet new people, gain insights into American university and working life, and experience the culture firsthand. We’re looking forward to sharing our experiences, highlights, and memories here on the VAST26 blog. Our VAST26 adventure has officially begun!
